The Western Den - October 6, 2018
Occasionally you’re utterly captivated by the first few notes. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, you stop, lean in, and give the music your full attention. The Western Den has that effect on their listeners. It’s new music, but nostalgic. It’s the closing song to a captivating movie that keeps you in your seat as the credits roll, suddenly finding yourself watching for the name of the artist. We’re smitten by The Western Den, and think you will be too. The Western Den, led by the duo of Deni Hlavinka and Christ West, will release their first full-length album, ‘A Light Left On’, in spring and they’re already featured on Billboard. As others have said, “…we’re putting them on your radar now – they might just become your indie hero.”. To see why, listen to “Cornerstone”, “Carter Hall”, and “Desert Ground”, which features full choral and symphonic accompaniment. (If you’re only going to watch one, watch the last one…it’s amazing!) This should be an amazing show; the Western Den is going nowhere but up!
We’re asking $20 for this show; as always, bring cash to pay at the door. For this fall show, doors will open at 7:00 and music will begin at 7:30. To reserve your seat, you must RSVP (and don’t delay!) BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you’d like.
