Benjamin Dakota Rogers - October 11, 2019
According to his press page, Benjamin Dakota Rogers is a farm boy from Ontario whose passion for music began when he inherited his great-grandfather’s fiddle. We know there’s always a few farm boys in our crowd, so we hope you take the opportunity to swap life-on-the-farm stories with Benjamin during the set break. Benjamin is a modern folk musician whose “…unique voice, thought-provoking lyrics, energetic performances and dynamic fiddle techniques leave this up-and-coming musician in a class of his own,” according to In Spades magazine. From his new album of the same name, here’s the video for “Better by Now”. And if you’re wondering if Benjamin still plays the fiddle, listen to Lost People of the Westbound Train for your answer! Doors for this show will open at 7:00, with music to begin at 7:30. Please RSVP to reserve your seats; we’re asking $15 for this show. As usual, BYOB for the communal washtubs and a snack to share if you’d like. By the time this show rolls around, the leaves should be starting to turn, apple season will be underway, and just maybe, the smell of woodsmoke will be in the air after dark. For many of us, this is the best season of the year. What a perfect time for live music in the barn. We hope you’ll join us.
